Jacob "Jake" Black
Jacob "Jake" Black, a member of the Quileute indian tribe and the best friend of Bella Swan. For the first novel, Twilight, Jake was a minor character appearing only about four times in the whole book. The first time is when he gave Bella her truck, the second time when hinted that the Cullens were actually vampires, the third time when he wanted to check up on her with his dad, and the fourth time to ask Bella to break up with Edward, upon his father's request. In the second novel, New Moon, Jake played a much bigger role. He often acted as a best friend and tried to cheer up Bella from her depression after being left by Edward. Jake later becomes a werewolf and therefore has anger issues. At this time he is hopelessly inlove with Bella. The third novel, Eclipse Jake is often visited by Bella, much to his delight. He later becomes involved upon an upcoming battle against a vampire named, Victoria. Later, he overhears Bella and Edward discussing their engagement and becomes angry, threatening to join the fight and get himself killed. However, he was calmed by Bella, who kisses him and later realizes that she loves him. By the end of the novel, Jake runs away in his wolf form, after recieving a wedding invitation from Edward. In the last novel, Breaking Dawn, Jake forms a new pack, consisting of Leah and Seth Clearwater. He later imprints on Renesmee, the daughter of Edward and Bella. Isabella "Bella" Swan
Isabella "Bella" Swan, a seventeen-year old girl, moving from Pheonix Arizona, to live with her, in Forks Washington. Bella is a girl with no self-esteem, but is frequently asked on dates by many boys. After discovering the secret of Edward as a vampire, she fells inlove with him, as he with her. However, by the end of her school year, she was forced to go back to Phoenix, due to a vampire on the hunt for her. She was saved, of course, but was badly bitten, causing Edward to bite her to retract the poison. Bella hates celebrating her birthdays because she fears that she one day may become older than Edward. However, her birthday is nonetheless celebrated, over at the Cullen home. Accidentally, Bella cuts her finger, and is immediately thrown back by Edward, protecting her from Jasper. It is later decided that Edward would leave to prevent this from happening ever again and Bella soon falls into a depressive state. During that time, Bella spends most of her time with Jacob, becoming happy. At the same time she frequently puts her life in danger because she wanted to hear Edward's voice, which she could only hear. Later Bella and Alice, travel to Volterra, Italy to prevent Edward from being killed by the Volturi, after being misinformed by Rosalie that Bella has commited suicide. It is later decided that Bella would be turned into a vampire by Edward, after their marriage. Bella is later hunted by Victoria and her new clan of vampires, in revenge of her dead mate, James. Later Bella also realizes that she loves Jake, after kissing him to calm him down, but claims that her love for Edward is greater. Bella later marries Edward, becomes a vampire, and has a baby girl named Renesmee. | |||
