Drew, a cocky, arrogant,
Pokemon coordinator and May's rival. Drew frequently likes to show off and seem
better than most coordinators, including May. Usually this ranges from his
contests, to his battles, and to his looks, which is usually done by casually
flipping his hair.
Although they are rivals,
Drew frequently hands May a single red rose. Though for the first few times he
stated that it was for her pokemon, Beautifly, but later it was slightly
implied that it was actually for May. Along with this teasing behavior, Drew
frequently loves to criticize May. Though it was later revealed that it was
because he used to act like her.

According to Solidad, she
and Drew had a conversation about pokemon coordinators and that Drew could only
talk about May, leading Solidad to believe that Drew may have some feelings for
May.
May
May, daughter of the Petalburg gym leader and a
rising pokemon coordinator. Starting with her journey, May was absolutely
afraid of pokemon and didn't even want to do gym battles like
her parents her to do. However, with the help of Ash she soon
got over her fear and decided to become a pokemon coordinator.
Because she is still new to pokemon
contests, May often shows signs of nervousness and even gets tricked, usually
by Harley. However, as time progressed on she soon became better at her skills
and was soon winning many ribbons.

Roses, are usually the sign of love so when Drew
frequently gives the roses, it leads some fans to believe that he actually had
feelings for May.

For the first two roses, Drew remarked that it
was for May's pokemon, beautifly. Though later on he partially
revealed that it was actually for May.
3. They Have Been Called A Couple
Drew and May have been called a couple on many
episodes throughout the series. Though usually this is because both of them
would usually be found together, either just talking or arguing, leading some
believe they actually are a couple. Of course to this statement, May usually
freaks out while Drew remains calm. These are signs that they may be inlove,
but don't know it.

Harley, May's rival frequently loves to tease
both May and Drew, usually calling Drew her boyfriend or their actions
"suspicious". Usually with his teasing, he usually earns a blushing
May and an ignorant Drew.

Blushing, are usually one of the signs that you
are in love or simply have a majoy crush. In this case it applies to both. Both
May and Drew do frequently blush around the other though usually it is provokes
by another person or perhaps one of their pokemon. This leads some fans to
believe that they really are a couple.
6. The Bad Beginning
In movies, books, and tv series, a bad beginning
between two people could mean that they will be together in the end. In this
case it is no different. The two had first met while May was training for her
first contest and almost hit Drew in the head, and Drew making a snide
comment. Later, as rivals and perhaps close friends, the two of them could
usually be seen acting like lovers or a couple, proving this statement to be
actually true.
7. Solidad
Solidad, one of Drew's major rival. In a
conversation between May and her friends, Solidad reveals that Drew and
her once had a conversation about coordinators, but that Drew
only mentioned May. Leading Solidad to believe that Drew may actually have some
feelings for May.
